World Wildlife Day

On World Wildlife Day, Saturday 3 March 2018, For the Love of Wildlife will host Australia’s first ivory and rhino horn crush event in Melbourne.

They are inviting members of the public to attend and donate unwanted items that feature Elephant Ivory or Rhino Horn, to support the campaign for Australia and New Zealand to cease domestic trade in these materials, and show that these items hold no value unless they are on a living animal.

For the Love of Wildlife is often approached by people who wish to dispose of items containing ivory or rhino horn, which are often inherited, received as a gift, bought as a tourist trinket on travels, or purchased without knowing the origin of the materials contained within them.

They are encouraging you to become a wildlife hero by choosing to destroy these items on World Wildlife Day.
