Daryl David Manley was born in Melbourne in 1933. He attended Scotch College between 1946-1951; during his school days Daryl was a form captain, an editorial committee member and library committee member.

As an adult Daryl purchased a derelict Victorian farm, which he restored over time to its original grandeur, filling it antiques both purchased and inherited.

Recently, the entire contents of the homestead were moved to Daryl’s Art Deco Kooyong apartment, El Tovar.

The collection features 19th century furniture, sterling silver and paintings including a delicate and beautiful painting by Clarice Beckett, which was purchased by Daryl’s mother in 1944 from Leonard Joel.
